Requirements

  • One must be homeschooled at least 50% of the time.
  • One must have a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and be agreeable to prayer at all meetings and functions
  • One must serve in community service for at least 10 hours per year either as a group or independently. If one already does 30 hours or more of community service elsewhere, this will fulfill the group service requirement. A leader must review/approve all independent work before the service begins. One must have the head of the community organization fill out the service form including the type of service rendered, the date, their phone number and their signature.
  • Full membership Eligibility:
    • Homeschool student in grades 9-12
    • National achievement test scores--
      • 90% composite score or complete battery (Stanford Achievement, or Iowa Basic) or ACT (26), or SAT (1800), or PSAT (180) (Scores must be less than a year old.)
  • Aspiring Membership Eligibility
    • Homeschool student in grades 8-12, but must be a teenager
    • National achievement test scores--
      • 80% composite score or complete battery (Stanford Achievement, or Iowa  Basic) or ACT (23), or SAT (1600), or PSAT (160), or other outstanding achievement, group activity or score that is approved by a leader
  • One must attend at least 50% of the monthly meetings
  • One must pay the annual due of $5 for CSRA HEA members and $7 for all others. A leader can waive the fee.
  • Officers include but are not limited to President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Officers will be selected as decided by the leaders. The Aspiring members may have their own set of officers at the discretion of the leaders, but cannot usually be the President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer of the main group.
  • One must behave in a Christian and professional manner. Swearing, immodest clothing or behavior, rudeness, etc. are grounds for dismissal at the discretion of the leaders.
